What is a house blessing?

Seasonal house blessings are a way to:

  • Energetically clear from your home what is no longer serving you or your family’s highest good

  • Set clear intentions for what you want the rooms of your home to reflect and foster

  • Release the negative energetic residue left by angry conversations, fear, worry, loss, and stress   

Similar to the body, our home is a container for energy. The energy in a room is a mixture of negative and positive imprints left in the space through conversations, thoughts, feelings, perceptions, and intentions. Over time, negative energy can build up in a space and leave the room—and us— feeling heavy and stuck.

The purpose of a House blessing is to:

  • Break up stuck, sluggish, negative energy

  • Improve the air quality in your home

  • Bring in prayerful intentions for each room

  • Use the elements of earth, water, fire, air and sound to balance the energy of the home

Our Method

GETTING STARTED

The first step is to schedule a free 30 minute Zoom consultation to discuss the makeup of your home, your intentions for the blessing, and schedule a time for the ritual. Depending on the size of your home, house clearings take between 60 minutes and 3 hours.

the ritual

  • Upon arrival at your home, we’ll start with an opening prayer before crossing the threshold of the front door

  • Once inside, we walk with you room by room, affirming your intentions and utilising tools from all the different elements—metal, wood, earth, fire, wind, and sound—to best serve what you want to manifest in your home. These include:

    • Bali and Tibetan bells to break up energy

    • Reiki to set intentions

    • Salt and Fire to clear energies

    • White Sage to dissipate negative energy

    • Palo Santo, and Sweet Grass to bring in positive energy

    • Essential oils to anoint doorways

    • Crystals to clear floors and walls

  • We close out the ritual with singing bowls and prayer
