trj in the news
TRJ is proud to partner with other like-minded organizations in efforts to support and educate the community. Some of our work has included:
Academic Articles
Recently I worked with holistic pharmacist and certified yoga instructor Veronica Riera-Gilley, PharmD, BCGP, on a guest editorial for the journal Senior Care Pharmacist. The article describes to pharmacists, who are often involved in the care team of older adults and with palliative care, how yoga therapy can offer support not only for their patients but for healthcare providers as well.
Podcasts
I had the honor of being a guest on the Mindful Talk podcast presented by The Mindful Project. TMP brings mindfulness training to corporations in an effort to empower employees with tools and techniques to manage their stress levels through mindful practices certified through the Center for Mindfulness UMass Medical School. In episode, #41, The Intersection of Christianity and Yoga, TMP’s founder Lauren Wessinger and I discuss how Christianity and yoga can be enriched by the other without taking anything away from either. Listen on YouTube or Apple Podcasts.

I’ve had the privilege to present to a wide array of audiences on yoga therapy, trauma sensitive yoga, pain care yoga, and more, to groups such as:
Texas Association of Addiction Professionals
International Association of Yoga Therapists
University of Texas Southwestern Medical School
Texas Christian University Psychology Department
Mesa Springs Addiction Treatment Center
Starlight Recovery Addiction Center
The Recovery Resource Council
guest blogging
Blogs are an excellent resource and I love partnering with others to spread awareness about the beauty that is yoga and self care. I was featured recently on one of my favorite yoga resources, Yoga Anytime, where I dove into the idea of practicing the wholeness of yoga using Sutra 2.1 as a guide. Check it out here.
